i wrote this last summer sometime and just found it. ha. weird.

im sitting here next to my papa... thinking about peter marks apprenticeship school. wow. that would complete my life. most likely.
its been a dream of mine for about 4 years now. i had signed up and been accepted to the bentonville school of cosmetology then dropped out because i would have to drive 2 hours each day to do 3 hours of work. which would not only get boring but cost a lot. another problem was that the school wasnt that great and didnt have the best teachers. they looked scragaly and mean. and they wore absolutely no make up and had wiery and poofy hair. which doesnt really make me want to learn their ways. but i still want to do it. especially if i could do it somewhere like peter mark. wow. i just get butterflies thinking about it! i know it sounds silly, learning about how to make people look better. hmm.. greatttttt job... haha. but. really. i enjoy it! and id use it. some people dont use it. at all. and i feel like i really would. i have people ask me often if i cut hair and when i have to say no, but i color hair, its just like. gah. i wish i could say yes! but i am not going to pursue this apprenticeship just because i want to please others. but because i would love to learn the ways of the trade and the different techniques and styles.

new topic.
studies team leaves in two days. strangeee... i kind of am ready for everyone to leave but at the same time i dont know what i will do when they actually DO go. tomorrow im going over for lunch and then we are having a farewell dinner tomorrow night at a very fancy 30 dollar a plate restaurant. it should be fun.

i watched the movie the count of monte cristo last night on andrews ipod when i was spending the night with them. it was a great movie! i really really enjoyed it. mostly because i hadnt seen a movie in ages but. i do think it had a great plot and storyline and was very well made.

my mom is eating alpen from a starbucks coffee cup right now. i love my mom. :)
and my dad is updating his facebook. :) hes cute too...

im really thankful for my parents. sometimes i take them for granted and i really wish i would remember how blessed i am. i mean. really. ive not ever had to get a job or work because i dont have what i need/want. they have provided everything for me and my brother and i am very thankful. sometimes i look at going to europe every summer for two months as a chore but. really. when i think about it. i would miss it if i didnt go. and if i had to go somewhere else or get a job, it would really change things. and i mean. i learn so much here! things i usually wouldnt learn... especially things about my fathers past and things he grew up around. which is very interesting to me. because a lot of times he doesnt talk about things or isnt very descriptive about certain topics but when i get to see them and experiance them myself its a whole different thing.

so i got my cartilage pierced about a week ago. it was a spur of the moment type thing. which is my kind of deal... i would prolly never actually plan something like that. so heres the story... i was in belfast. shopping with my parents and mollie mashburn (one of my favorite people in the whole wide world!~) and i decided to go off on my own (never a smart idea) and i went into the donegal arcade and i walked into gap and shopped round a bit then walked out and claires was right next to gap so i went it for a looksie. right when i went in i just went up and asked a girl who was working if they pierced cartilage. i hadnt even been thinking of it. it just came out of my mouth as if i werent even the one talking.. it was quite wierd! : ) but she was like, yeah! so i was like. well i want to get mine done! and she was like, great! and so then i walked over and she pierced it. it was great. i thought it would hurt but it really didnt at all. although these past few nights have been hell because i sleep on my right side, the side my earring is on. and so i have had to learn how to either sleep on my left or back. which has not worked out for me. haha. one morning mollie and i were talking and she was like, btw heather, i woke up during the night and you were like, hanging off the bed, with your ear right over the edge, it was quite funny.. he.he.

well. im off to take a bath and go to bed. while listening to DeVotchka. nite betches...

love,
heather
